Seafood trade terms
Sizes and packing are representative export-market specifications, not universal standards. Shrimp counts such as 16/20 are commonly pieces per lb. Fish and cephalopods often use g per piece, kg per piece or pieces per kg. Always confirm the buyer's counting basis.

Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2026. This is a working version for launch. Marine Vault will have it reviewed by a lawyer and may update it; continued use after an update means you accept the new version.
1. About Marine Vault
Marine Vault (marinevault.in) is a B2B trade facilitation platform for the seafood industry. It lets businesses post offers and buying requirements, find each other, connect, and prepare trade documents. Marine Vault is not a buyer, seller, broker, agent, bank, shipper or inspector, does not handle payments or logistics, and is not a party to any contract between members.
2. Who may use it
- Accounts are for businesses and their authorised staff. You must be at least 18 and able to enter contracts for your business.
- Information you give about yourself and your company must be true and kept up to date. One person per login; keep your password safe.
3. Marketplace rules (offers and requirements)
- Post only genuine cargo you can supply, or genuine requirements you intend to buy.
- Product, size, quantity, price, origin, certifications and documents must be accurate. Mark offers Reserved or Sold as soon as that happens.
- Listings stay active for up to 30 days and must be renewed to stay visible.
- Marine Vault may edit category or formatting, hide, or remove any listing that breaks these terms or looks misleading.
4. Seller responsibilities
- Hold every licence, registration and approval needed to produce and export what you offer, for the destination you sell to.
- Make sure products meet the agreed specification and the food-safety, labelling and import rules of the destination.
- Proforma Invoices you issue through the Deal Room are your own commercial documents.
5. Buyer responsibilities
- Post requirements you are able to pay for, and hold the import licences and approvals you need.
- Check the seller, product, documents and payment terms yourself before paying. Purchase Orders you issue are your own commercial documents.
6. Verification policy
- Badges show only what Marine Vault has checked, how it was checked, and when. A check shows as verified only after we have seen evidence.
- Verification is a point-in-time check of documents or official records. It is not a guarantee of quality, solvency, performance or legal compliance, and it can be withdrawn if information turns out to be wrong or expires.

7. Prohibited activities
- Fake, copied or misleading listings, companies, certificates or documents.
- Collecting other members' contact details to spam, resell or poach; scraping the site; sending unsolicited bulk messages.
- Products that are illegal to trade, from illegal, unreported or unregulated (IUU) fishing, or under sanctions.
- Fraud, impersonation, money laundering, or attempts to break or overload the site.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we may report serious cases to the authorities.
8. Disputes and complaints
- Disputes about a trade are between the buyer and the seller. Marine Vault does not decide them, but you can report a concern through Trust & Safety or the "Report this listing" link. We review reports and may act on accounts.
- Complaints about Marine Vault itself: support@marinevault.in. We aim to reply within 7 working days.
9. Disclaimer and limit of liability
Marine Vault is provided "as is". Buyers and sellers remain responsible for independently verifying products, documents, payment terms, shipment arrangements and regulatory compliance before completing a transaction. To the extent the law allows, Marine Vault is not liable for losses arising from trades between members, from information members post, or from the site being unavailable.
10. Privacy, your data and deleting your account
- How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy & Security page.
- You can delete your account in My Account → Profile & alerts → Account Settings. It closes at once and your personal data is permanently erased after 30 days.
- To see, correct, export or delete your data, write to privacy@marinevault.in.
11. Changes and law
We may change these terms or the service as Marine Vault grows. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Privacy & Security

What we collect
- Account details: your name, company, role, country, phone and email.
- What you post: offers, requirements, product photos, and messages sent through connection requests.
- Deal documents: Proforma Invoices and Purchase Orders you create or upload in a deal room, and any company or bank details you choose to save for reuse.
- Basic technical data your browser sends to any website, such as your IP address, needed to keep the service working and secure.
- We do not ask for payment card numbers, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Why we collect it
- To run your account, show your listings, and let other members request a connection with you.
- To generate the Proforma Invoice and Purchase Order in a deal room.
- To send you the alerts you asked for, and important notices about your account.
- To keep the platform secure and to investigate abuse.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Who can see what
- Public: your listings' product details, and, if you keep Directory visibility on, your company name, country and product groups.
- Never public: your email and phone number. They are shared with another member only after you accept their connection request, or after you send one and they accept yours.
- Deal rooms: visible only to the two businesses in that specific deal.
- Us: Nibha Global Trading, as the operator, can access data to run the platform, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not read your deal documents unless you ask us to help with one.
- We never share your data with advertisers, and we do not display third-party ads.
How your data is protected
- Marine Vault runs on established cloud infrastructure with encrypted data transmission (HTTPS everywhere), access controls and database-level security policies.
- Row-level security means a member's private data cannot be read by other members, even if someone tried to bypass the website.
- Passwords are never stored in readable form. Only a salted hash is kept, which even Marine Vault staff cannot reverse.
- Registration documents are stored privately and can be opened only by you and Marine Vault administrators.
- Our service providers (website hosting, database and email delivery) process data only to run Marine Vault and are bound by their own security and privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
- Listings stay active for up to 30 days and expire automatically unless renewed.
- Your account and its data are kept while your account is active. When you delete your account in My Account, it is closed at once and your listings are taken down, and your personal data is permanently deleted 30 days later. Until then you can log in and cancel, or ask us to restore it. Records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons, or that another member's deal record depends on, are kept.
Your choices
- You can hide your business from the Directory at any time in My Account → Profile & alerts.
- You can turn email alerts off in the same place.
- You can ask to see, correct, export, or delete your data by emailing privacy@marinevault.in.
If something goes wrong
- No system is unbreakable, and we do not claim Marine Vault is immune to attack. We use access controls, encryption and regular review of who can access what to reduce the risk.
- If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will tell you and take reasonable steps to limit the harm.
- Report a security concern to security@marinevault.in. We will not take action against a good-faith report.
Business directory
